Band / Hose Clamps
The Neophix band / hose stainless steel clamp takes over from where the worm drive leaves off. It is used extensively in the automotive industry, particularly in the commercial vehicle, passenger transport and earth moving equipment sectors.
Such is the strength inherent in Neophix's unique strap design that the clamp can withstand tightening torque's well in excess of 8.0Nm (70 lbs.in.) as against the usual 4.5Nm (40 lbs.in.) of inferior designed clamps.
Variations in material and/or construction can be incorporated to meet customers' individual requirements where high corrosive or high temperature conditions exist.
Standard Specifications
The standard clamp comprises of an austenitic stainless steel band, 19.0mm (.750") wide x 0.6mm (.024") thick in half hard condition. The T-bolt is made from high tensile steel heat treated to 65/70 tonnes tensile strength and zinc plated. The trunnion is a zinc alloy die casting and the nut is nylon inserted self-locking, where operating temperatures are above 120° C an all metal stiff nut is recommended.
Neophix Band Clamps can be supplied in any diameter over 40mm and the adjustment range for diameters between 40.0mm and 60.0mm is + or - 3.0mm and for clamps over 60.0mm it is + 3.0mm and - 8.0mm on nominal diameter.
Clamps can be manufactured in other widths, thickness' and materials and our design engineers will give advice and assistance where required.
The minimum order quantity is 100-off for Neophix Band Clamps, smaller quantities can be made but will incur an extra charge.
